While it might be a bright, beautiful, sunny day today. Last Sunday while we were in Lake Tahoe, it was a different story. It was absolutely beautiful Friday and Saturday but then Sunday morning we woke up to rain drops and chilly weather. The rain later turned into snow while we were getting ready to leave.
Usually I am not a big fan of rain. I love sun. I love heat (hotter the better). I love shorts, tank tops, sun dressed and flip flops! But, on this particular day I didn’t mind the rain. Maybe it’s because it’s only the second day of rain we have had since last…oh, May? Or it could very well be the fact that I was nice and cozy on the couch with hot chocolate, a book and a fire watching the rain from inside. Yeah, that was probably it.
Well then. What prompted me get off the couch and head outdoors to photograph some rain drops you might ask? The trees, of course! As I was sitting there looking outside at all of the trees, they were glistening. I watched the rain fall, and the drops sit on the tip of the needles just waiting to slide off the ends. I felt the need to run out there and photograph those little drops. And, I’m happy I did!
